Wall Crack Repair After Tree Pressure Damage
Exterior walls can be put under enormous stress over the years, especially when tree roots or trunks exert pressure from nearby. In this case, we were called in to repair a deep vertical crack that split through a stucco wall — a clear result of long-term pressure from a growing tree.

Assessment
The crack ran from the top of the wall all the way to the ground, fully exposing the internal structure and leaving the wall vulnerable to moisture and further damage. Upon inspection, it was clear that the stucco had detached in multiple areas, and the structure behind it had signs of deterioration.
Repair Process
To restore the wall:
We removed all loose and damaged materials around the crack.
Installed a metal mesh (lath) to ensure structural strength and proper bonding for the new stucco.
Applied fresh stucco in multiple layers to match the original texture.
Let it cure properly to prevent future cracking.
Painted the wall, although the first coat did not fully match the existing wall color.
Returned the next day with custom-mixed paint to ensure a seamless color blend.
Final Result
The crack is now completely repaired, structurally reinforced, and visually integrated into the rest of the wall. The transition between old and new is smooth and durable.
If your exterior wall has suffered from similar structural damage or stress from tree roots, we can restore it properly — both functionally and aesthetically.
