Custom Cabinet with Open Shelves

Project Features

The cabinet is made of light-colored laminated wood (LDS panel) with a natural wood texture. The lower section is a closed cabinet with swing doors, featuring an extra storage shelf inside. The upper section has two open shelves supported by metal poles.

This combination provides both practicality and style:

• the bottom section hides everyday items from sight;

• the open shelves provide space for décor and quick access items;

• the metal supports add a modern and lightweight appearance.

Materials and Hardware

For this project, we used:

• Laminated wood (LDS panels) with a wood texture finish;

• PVC edge banding to protect the edges from damage and moisture;

• Metal poles to support the open shelves;

• Hardware including hinges, handles, and mounting brackets.

Work Process

1. Measurements and planning — we visited the site, measured the space, and agreed on the design.

2. Cutting materials — the panels were cut to size and edge-banded.

3. Cabinet assembly — the base and sides were put together to form a solid frame.

4. Door installation — handles and hinges were installed and adjusted.

5. Metal pole installation — supporting poles and upper shelves were mounted.

6. Final installation — the cabinet was leveled and securely fixed in place.
